"TOKYO (Kyodo) -- A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.2 jolted northeastern Japan on Sunday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
No tsunami warning was issued for the 12:33 p.m. quake and there have been no immediate reports of major damage or injuries."
